Just about the cutest book ever! Look at those li'l fangs! Kids will find a lot to relate to in this story of a fruit bat who's afraid to take her first flight, until she realizes she has everything she needs to succeed. It's also a great introduction to the wonders of bats and to the concept of echolocation. I'm all for kids' books that demystify misunderstood or stigmatized animals, and this is a good one.
— From RebeccaDescription

It's time for Fiona the fruit bat to take her very first flight, but she's scared. How will she fly when she can't see in the dark? Mama just says, "listen." But how will listening help her to see? Then she hears a mysterious sound from deep in her cave. To find out what's making that noise--and to finally fly--Fiona will have to unlock a secret hidden inside herself.
